The EDA University Center will assist new businesses by connecting them with expertise and resources to establish their business so that it has a good foundation for growth in the future. Below are resources available for the starting up a business. In addition, please contact the EDA University Center at 715-232-5023 for consultation on developing an idea or starting a new business.

Business Incubators/Accelerators

1. UW-Stout Technology and Business Incubator - Business incubation is a support process that accelerates the successful development of start-up companies by providing entrepreneurs with an array of targeted resources and services.  UW-Stout College of Technology, Engineering, and Management has incubation space available in Menomonie, WI.  The UW-Stout incubator  is the recipient of the 2007 Synergy Knowledge and Idea Research and Development Award.  Since its inception, the incubator has had a greater than 70% success rate, with incubator graduates generating a combined $73 million in annual sales while employing nearly 400 people throughout Western Wisconsin.
