Fall 2020 Applicants: UW-Stout will accept an emailed unofficial or self-reported version of the student's ACT/SAT test scores. The student will need to provide the composite and sub-scores. Examples of acceptable self-reported or unofficial test scores:
- A screenshot or PDF of the score from the testing agency website
- A screenshot or scan of the mailed paper score
- An email with the score report information on it
- An email from the student reporting their scores
If a student was unable to take the ACT/SAT test, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fall 2021 Applicants: We recognize the cancellation of ACT and SAT exams may be causing concern for some students planning to apply to Stout for the fall 2021 semester. An ACT or SAT score will be required for admission consideration to Stout. Fortunately, Stout does not have a priority date for fall 2021. ACT and SAT will be adding several test dates this summer and fall, including online test options.
This provides several opportunities for prospective students to take the ACT or SAT exam. In addition, we recommend students utilize the free resources on the ACT and SAT web sites to prepare for the exam.
Students may begin the UW System application for admission on August 1, 2020. ACT or SAT exam results are not required to submit an application, but are required for our office to review your application.
