Middle school students to explore STEM fields at Stout Connects You

Over 400 to attend Feb. 27 event at UW-Stout

Nearly 435 middle school students from eight area schools are slated to visit University of Wisconsin-Stout on Thursday, Feb. 27, for Stout Connects You STEM Festival.

Students will take part in interactive displays and visit science labs related to STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics – programs offered at UW-Stout. Students will be on campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Schools participating include: Lake Middle School, Woodbury, Minn.; St. Croix Central schools, Hammond; NorthStar Community Charter School, Minong; Whitehall Middle School, Whitehall; Stanley-Boyd Middle School, Stanley; Fridley Middle School AVID, Minneapolis; New Richmond Middle School, New Richmond; and Oltman Middle School AVID, Cottage Grove, Minn.

Along with UW-Stout students, many UW-Stout faculty and staff from throughout campus will help with the event.
