Tickets are on sale for three special events coming up at UW-Stout, “Big Fish” the musical, the annual Fashion Without Fabric show and comedian Charlie Berens.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the service desk in the Memorial Student Center, 715-232-1122.

“Big Fish” is based on the movie and Broadway play about traveling salesman Edward Bloom, who lives life to the fullest. The University Theatre cast, nearly 20 students, is directed by Associate Professor Paul Calenberg.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, and Thursday through Saturday, April 12-14, at Harvey Hall Theatre, along with a 1:30 p.m. matinee April 14. Tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for ages 12 and younger.

Fashion Without Fabric will be at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 7, in the Great Hall of the Memorial Student Center. Tickets went on sale Monday, March 19.

The annual fashion show, part of Family Weekend, features imaginative creations by School of Art and Design students using anything but traditional fabric. The show typically sells out.

Comedian Charlie Berens will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 12, in the Great Hall of the student center. Tickets are $15 for UW-Stout students and $25 for the public. Separate tickets, $15, are available for a meet-and-greet with Berens at 9:30 p.m.

Berens, a Milwaukee native, is known for his “Manitowoc Minute” video series that pokes fun at his home state. He also is an actor and Emmy-winning journalist and has hosted shows for Fox, CBS Sports Network and Variety.
