Areas of special clinical interests include: anxiety, depression, healing from trauma, life transitions, navigating gender and cultural identities, familial struggles, career and life planning, grief and loss, emotional disturbances, coping, substance abuse and prevention, healthy relationships, self-care and topics of diversity.

Amanda is passionate about working therapeutically with others while utilizing an eclectic style including but not limited to: person or client-centered, cognitive behavioral, family systems, psycho-education, mindfulness based and dialectical behavioral skills.  She strives to create an atmosphere of warmth, compassion, genuineness and respect where you feel safe to share your story free from judgment. 

Amanda was an active participant in a certified collaborative training for Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).  She has experience working with children ages 3+ into adulthood, especially those who experienced complex trauma, neglect, physical and sexual abuse.  Along with extensive training working through anxiety, depression, life transitions and relation/familial struggles.  Amanda has further training and experience among topics involving gender spectrum competence, self-injury and substance abuse and prevention.  Her training and education prepared her to work with a wide range of individuals and presenting concerns.

Amanda obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Services from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2010.   Her Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling was received from Lakeland University, a private liberal arts college, in 2014.  Amanda became a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wisconsin in 2017.

In her free time Amanda enjoys the outdoors, spending time with family, playing with her animals, reading, traveling and attending sporting events.
