Brief Biography: Dr. Sarah Wynn is the Director of the TRIO Student Support Services at UW-Stout Polytechnic. She received her BA and MA from Missouri State University and graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Ph.D in Creative Writing--Poetry. She has been active in the TRIO community, including on the board for the state and regional TRIO associations.
Teaching Interests: First Year Experience, Career Development, Financial Literacy, Undergraduate Research, Graduate School Preparation, Composition, Poetry, and Fiction
Professional Interests: Federal TRIO grants (including Student Support Services and the McNair Scholars Program) serve first-generation students, low-income students, and students with disabilities as they navigate the college experience. Specific experiences include: Administrative Leadership, Budgeting, Grant Writing, Staff Supervision, Evaluation/Annual Performance Reporting, Program Planning, Mentoring and Advising, Research Formation, Research Methods and Processes, Recruitment and Retention, and Marketing
