E-resources for your student's research and entertainment needs

Six continued learning solutions from the UW-Stout Library.
March 31, 2020

The University Library, Instructional Resources Service and Archives are closed during the period of alternative learning methods. However, the library staff has been busy working to ensure your student has access to the resources they need.

“We are still committed to helping students with learning and research in the online learning environment,” said interim Co-Director and Head of Public Services Kate Kramschuster.

Here are six ways the library staff can help:

  • Policies have been modified to ensure your student can keep textbooks, equipment and library materials until the fall semester starts.
  • Does your student need help to find articles and e-books for a research paper? They can contact a librarian at reference@uwstout.edu or access online tutorials.
  • Research and entertainment articles can be found at Search@UW.
  • The e-books databases have more than 700,000 fiction and nonfiction titles.
  • The streaming library has more than 100,000 documentaries and feature films to watch for free.
  • Keep up to date on breaking news with free and unlimited access to the New York Times Online.

If your student can’t find what they need, they can fill out the Request E-resources Service form to add to the library collection.
