About Me
I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and rarely traveled to Wisconsin. On a whim, I decided to attend college in Wisconsin, and I’ve been here ever since! After working as a campus tour guide in college, I decided to pursue a career in college admissions. I love being able to help students find the right fit for them and make the college search process less confusing and more exciting! In my free time, you can find me reading, spending time outside, and hanging out with friends and family.
Q&A with Anna
Advice for a new student:
Be willing to step outside of your comfort zone! At first, college can seem overwhelming and unfamiliar, especially if you don’t know anyone. It can feel scary to take a chance and introduce yourself. I promise you, everyone around you feels that way, too! Introduce yourself to your neighbors at move-in, check out a club that sounds fun, or talk to your classmates. You don’t know how it will turn out if you don’t try!
College Major/Minor:
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Marketing
Why did you choose your major?
I love writing and wanted to find a career that aligned with this passion while also allowing me to continue working face-to-face with real people. Marketing was a great opportunity to do both! I’m passionate about providing information in a transparent and accessible way that empowers people to choose their own path.
What do you love most about Stout?
I love that Stout provides real experience and applied learning, not just lectures and note-taking. Not only is this a preferred learning style for many students, myself included, but it also helps prepare you for your career after graduation and sets you apart from other job candidates!
My favorite thing to do in Menomonie is…
I love the variety of things to do. There is truly something for everyone! From scenic trails and historic landmarks to countless small businesses and restaurants, there is so much to explore.
A random fact about me…
At my elementary school, everyone chose an instrument to play at the beginning of fifth grade. For some reason, I chose the tuba. I could fit inside the case!
