Riley receives January University Staff Appreciation Award

HVAC technician cited for skills, work ethic, commitment

Steve Riley has received the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award for January at University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Riley, of Colfax, is a heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technician in Facilities Management.

He is the only person in his position class and is pulled in many directions. Steve works as long as needed to get important projects done. He is always striving to please the customer. Getting tasks accomplished in a timely, efficient manner the first time is important to him. Steve is an extremely knowledgeable individual. He willingly shares his knowledge with all who ask of it. If you ask for help from Steve, you can be assured you will get it along with a smile.”

Chancellor Bob Meyer presents each winner with a certificate of recognition, a UW-Stout travel mug and a UW-Stout blanket.

Students, faculty and staff may nominate a university staff member who demonstrates a commitment to excellence and the university community.

The award, in its 13th year, was established by the Chancellor’s Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
