UW-Stout's 100% online, post-master's degree School Counselor Licensure for Mental Health Professionals Certificate is designed to offer individuals who hold a graduate degree in a counseling-related field a path to licensure as a school counselor (#7054) in Wisconsin through the Department of Public Instruction. The online certificate offers professionals with limited access to master's-level programs in school counseling an opportunity to obtain the necessary coursework and preparation to seek licensure.

- Communicate and collaborate with school-age students, their families, school staff, and community agency representatives to promote a safe, healthy, and effective learning environment.
- Model legal and ethical standards of school counseling practice in accordance with state and federal law and the standards of the American School Counselor Association and the American Counseling Association.
