Dr. Chelsea Lovejoy is a social psychologist with a background in industrial-organizational psychology. As a professor in the psychology department, she teaches a variety of courses such as social psychology, the psychology of video games, introduction to psychology, and research methods. As an educator she strives to make complex psychological concepts accessible through interactive and hands-on experiences that helps students personally connect with the content.
Her research interests focus on student engagement and motivation for learning as well as topics related to social influence, persuasion, and superstitions. She has also conducted research on student perceptions of AI in their coursework, as well as studies related to the psychology of video games.
