Courtney Smith is a Case Facilitator at the University of Wisconsin-Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute (SVRI), working with applicants to determine eligibility for the State of Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) program. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Arts in School Psychology, and an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology—all from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked as a school psychologist in both the United States and abroad, supporting students from preschool through high school in a wide range of educational settings. Her work has centered on conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing school-wide systems to support academic, behavioral, and emotional growth. Now working in DVR eligibility, Courtney brings her deep experience in assessment, systems thinking, and student-focused problem solving to a new setting—supporting individuals with disabilities as they navigate pathways to employment and independence. She is passionate about using her skills to ensure equitable access to services and opportunities. Outside of work, Courtney enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, reading, and participating in sports and outdoor recreation activities with her family.
