Changes in High School Senior-Year Coursework:

Contact us if you're considering schedule changes or have concerns about your academic progress in any course. If you're considering making schedule changes, please contact us by phone or email.
World Language Requirements:
World language is not a requirement for admission nor for degree completion at UW-Stout. While World Language courses are an option to fulfill these credits, they are not required.
Some of our programs have specific admission criteria beyond the standard UW-Stout application requirements.

First-Year Admission Decisions:
Admission decisions are based on various criteria, including academic rigor, GPA, grade trend, class rank, and ACT/SAT scores (if provided). Non-academic factors like extracurricular activities are also taken into account. Our review process is holistic, and no single factor alone determines admission.
After reviewing your complete application, we make one of three admission decisions:
- Admitted: Congratulations! You’re a future Blue Devil!
- Postponed: Some applicants aren't immediately admitted upon initial review. Postponed applicants have strong qualifications and show potential for success at UW-Stout; however, we would like to review first semester grades from their senior year or read recommendation letters before making an admission decision.
- Denied: Students who are not competitive for admission to UW-Stout.
