Wisconsin's Polytechnic University
One of the Universities of Wisconsin, UW-Stout is Wisconsin's (and Minnesota's) only career-focused polytechnic university. Through a combination of applied learning and research, business and industry collaboration and career-focused experiences, we train emerging leaders to solve real-world problems, grow the economy, and serve society.
Located in scenic Menomonie, Wisconsin, we're an hour from Minneapolis and far from ordinary. Our campus has a long and rich history of unique degree programs ranging from engineering, computer science and business to psychology, education and human sciences.
Our students enjoy a 99% rate of employment or continuing their education after graduation. We're proud of our tremendous industry partnerships and our contribution to the local and regional economy.
Driving Business & Industry
We foster a culture where students gain invaluable skills and knowledge at UW-Stout. Our students are immersed in industry-relevant, hands-on learning with three times as many labs and studios as lecture halls. This is partially thanks to our tremendous industry partnerships with nationally recognized companies like 3M, Andersen Corporation, Forbes, Great Northern Corporation, Phillips Medisize, Target, Thomson Reuters, Room and Board and Sony.
