Unspooled Film and Animation Festival is a juried annual event in Menomonie, Wisconsin that features films and animations made by regional and international independent storytellers. Films are screened at the historic Harvey Hall Theatre at UW-Stout. During the event, professional filmmakers rub elbows with students and members of the local community. By screening content, offering workshops, and hosting guest speakers the Unspooled Film and Animation Festival actively supports emerging and seasoned storytellers.  Join us for this year's festival on May 10th and 11th!

Emerging and seasoned storytellers are invited to be a part of the festival by submitting their films in a variety of categories. Selected projects will be showcased during the 2-day festival, where independent filmmakers rub elbows with students and members of the local community.
