UW-Stout's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) offers support to students, faculty, and staff in their research endeavors. We celebrate research every day across our campus in each of our colleges and are proud of our ever-growing researcher population.
Services for Students
- Grants: Grant money is available to help with the cost of conducting and disseminating research.
- Research Day: It's your time to shine! Present your findings at our annual Research Day, where students, faculty, and staff share over 100 projects that showcase their discoveries.
- IRB: We'll help you understand how to successfully navigate the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process.
Services for Faculty and Staff
- Grants, Contracts, and Agreements: We'll assist you in searching for new funding sources, completing forms and agency requirements, and the preparation and submission of proposals.
- Consent and Ethical Guidelines: We'll help ensure the ethical conduct of research involving humans and animals, in coordination with IRB and IACUC policies.
- Workshops: Our staff hosts workshops to educate faculty, staff and students on valuable topics like grant writing and funding research.
- Processing Gifts: We'll help coordinate monetary or in-kind donations to the university, such as equipment, supplies, or property.
- Professorships: We’ll ensure professorships are processed with the university in a timely manner.
